Privacy Policy

The short version: Web Production Toolkit does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any of your personal data. Everything happens locally in your browser. We run no server that receives your data, and we have no analytics, tracking, or ads.

What the extension accesses, and why

The extension requests browser permissions solely to perform actions you trigger:

Active tab / site access: to read the page you're viewing when you click a tool — only then.
Scripting: to run extraction logic inside the current page on demand.
Downloads: to save files you generate (CSV, Excel, JSON, ZIP, screenshots) to your device.
Storage: to remember your settings (saved configurations) on your device. This never leaves your machine.
Context menus / tabs: to provide right-click tools and open search results in new tabs.

Data you generate

Exported files save directly to your device via Chrome's download system. They are never uploaded to us.

Webhooks (optional)

If you use "Send to Webhook," the extension sends your selected text, the page URL, and a timestamp only to the webhook URL you configure yourself. We never see this data.

Third-party requests

Some tools (broken-link checker, image ZIP, sitemap fetch) request resources directly from the site you're inspecting — not through us.

Data retention

We retain nothing, because we receive nothing. Your settings live in your browser's local storage until you clear them or uninstall.
